Steve started his career working with Ernst & Young in Southern California in 1991. While working at Ernst & Young Steve gained experience working with many different kinds of companies and industries. Steve gained exposure to real estate partnership issues while working with large real estate partnerships. While at Ernst & Young, Steve also worked with the “Entrepreneurial Services Group”, which focused on small to medium-sized businesses. Working with the entrepreneurial group he gained valuable experience working with small business owners and earned an appreciation for what small business owners need and want from a financial service provider, specifically a tax advisor.
In 1997 Steve and his family returned to Utah to work with Ernst & Young and later with KPMG. While here in Utah, Steve has had the opportunity to work with many successful large and small companies in different industries including real estate, construction, manufacturing, multi-level marketing, franchising, restaurants, and various service industries.
Steve graduated from BYU in 1991 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and a Master’s Degree in Taxation. Steve is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Utah and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a member of the Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants.
Steve enjoys hiking running, playing softball, basketball, and golf. He also loves to spend time working in his yard.
Steve lives in Alpine with his wife Tricia, and five children, Emily, Stephanie, Jessica, Spencer, and Meagan.
